Facebook will soon disable Pet Society notifications

When you login to Pet Society you’ll notice a Facebook banner on the top of the game which gives you the option of receiving Facebook notifications in your email rather than on your Facebook account.  It states “Soon, applications won’t be able to send you notifications on Facebook.” so if you would like to keep receiving them you have the option of the notifications being sent to your email otherwise you will not receive them at all when they decide to disable them.

Your notifications can be found on the bottom right of your facebook toolbar.  This is where you usually get notices of friends who have visited and hugged, kiss, danced, etc. with your pet in Pet Society.

Personally, I don’t really check my notifications, so getting rid of them doesn’t really bother me at all.  I also wouldn’t want to receive them in my email either as my inbox is usually full of stuff anyway.

What are your thoughts of Facebook disabling Pet Society notifications? Did you decide to receive your Pet Society notifications via email?

I have opted OUT of receiving notifications as well. Personally, I’m glad that Facebook is going to stop allowing apps to post notifications. My notifications were always maxed out at 99, making it hard to read the list without clicking See All.

And I definitely don’t need those 99 notifications sent to me as EMAILS! That would be the last thing I need lol!

I liked the notifications. I tailored them so I only receive the ones I want.

I did not, nor will I, give them my email. No freaking way! Spam is bad enough these days!! Heck, I’m surprised that you don’t get a message scrolling across the shade when you turn on a lamp!!

    HATE SPAM!!
