A funny thing happened after I spun the Lottery Wheel, a pop up window appeared which gave me the option of sharing 50 bonus coins I had received to my friends. It works sort of like the Great Hideeni gifts which you post to your Facebook wall and in order for your friends to claim the prize, they’ll have to click on your wall post which launches Pet Society which then automatically credits your pet with 50 coins. Only the first 5 friends who claim the bonus coins will get it, if you’re not one of the first 5 and try to claim the bonus coins you will receive a message saying the bonus coins have already been claimed. But you can always look through your Facebook news feed to find other friends who have posted the bonus coins. I think this is a good feature, it’s free money and all we have to do before we log in is scroll through our news feeds to see if any of our friends have posted the bonus coins.  I hope Playfish increases the amounts since 50 coins just isn’t... 

If you read our earlier post “Vote now for which Yellow Shirt Pet Society should make for Tristan” you’re well aware that Pet Society will be creating a special yellow top item for fellow player Tristan (Thanks to his persistent requests for one) based on the polling outcome.  However I think the poll was just a teaser and instead Pet Society will release all 6 items yellow top clothing items next week as part of the new weekly items.How did I come up with this theory?  Well, if you noticed the new mystery items that were just released today, one of the items is the Yellow Hoodie.  At first I thought this was the item that won the poll.  But when I checked the Pet Society Forum thread for the results, it was in fact the PetFace Yellow Tee which won over the Yellow Hoodie by 224 votes.  So I was assuming the Yellow Hoodie would just be a bonus 2nd place item.  However, upon visting Pet Society World I noticed her post on new Stadium sightings of new clothing items. ... 

There are 4 new mystery items that were just released at the Mystery Store. The 4 new mystery items are the Yellow Hoodie (Red Mystery Box), Sunscreen Decor (Blue Mystery Box), Aboriginal Teddy (Gold Mystery Box), Dame’s Sunnies (Gold Mystery Box). Head over to the Mystery Store to try your chance at getting these items. Usually the new mystery items give you an idea of what the theme will be for the new items to be released next week Monday. I’m assuming the new items are going to be Australia themed since the big giveaway is the Aboriginal Teddy since aborigines are the indigenous people of Australia. Also since Australia is known for its beautiful beaches the Sunscreen Decor and Dame’s Sunnies are essential items when you’re at the beach. Furthermore, Australia Day is January 26 so I’m pretty sure next week’s items will be Australia themed. As for the Yellow Hoodie, this is a special item created from the poll Pet Society did recently for creating...

When you login to Pet Society you’ll notice a Facebook banner on the top of the game which gives you the option of receiving Facebook notifications in your email rather than on your Facebook account.  It states “Soon, applications won’t be able to send you notifications on Facebook.” so if you would like to keep receiving them you have the option of the notifications being sent to your email otherwise you will not receive them at all when they decide to disable them. Your notifications can be found on the bottom right of your facebook toolbar.  This is where you usually get notices of friends who have visited and hugged, kiss, danced, etc. with your pet in Pet Society. Personally, I don’t really check my notifications, so getting rid of them doesn’t really bother me at all.  I also wouldn’t want to receive them in my email either as my inbox is usually full of stuff anyway. Just like last week, Pet society will again be removing 3 more items this week from the Mystery Boxes. There are a couple of new improvements that Pet Society has made for players.  Pet Society has “now made it easier to earn coins in Pet Society” with the implementation of a couple things. We can now earn more points by taking care of our pets.  We now receive +4 coins for brushing or bathing our pets and friends pets.  I used to brush and bathe my pet and friends pets to earn coins in the beginning but I found that by adding more friends, you earn more coins faster by visits rather than brushing or bathing pets.  This is still a great way to earn coins if you have a limited amount of friends but I wish they increased the amount of coins we get for visits as well. We can now sell cooked food for double the profit which may or may not persuade players to cook more.  I think the main reason players cook is to someday get that Cheesy Mayor and not for profit.  The dishes with huge profits usually take 8-24 hours to cook anyway so this doesn’t exactly make me jump... 

The Pet Society Gods must have touched Paborito this week because he may be having his best week ever!  A couple days ago after countless agonizing months of waiting Paborito finally produced his first golden poo.  Today, Paborito completed another first which was winning 2000 coins in the lottery wheel!  The most he’s ever won in the new lottery wheel was 500 coins which happened a total of maybe 2x since the new lottery wheel was first introduced.  I’m hoping this won’t be the last time he’ll win 2000 coins.   Has your pet ever won 2000 coins yet on the new lottery wheel?  How have you been doing with the lottery wheel?
